We have flexi time in Airbus which is a little different than normal.
Every week we have to work at least 37 hours, we have to be on site between 9:30 and 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 9:30 to 12:00 on Friday.
If we work over 37 hours we can save up the time and use the hours to take an extra day off each Month.
When a deadline comes up we might have to work very long days to get things finished on time but then we can use these extra hours to take a day off which is great!

At ESA we have a very similar working hours as Kevin at Airbus, except we are obliged to work at least 40 hours a week.
When we are under pressure then we also do a lot of extra hours to make sure the work is completed in time.
Interestingly though, as a professional engineer or scientist, what you find is that your brain can actually keep working on or thinking about a problem even after you have left the office!
This is good, because the brain is actually very efficient at that, and a solution to a difficult problem can appear, when you are completely relaxed and thinking about or doing something else.
